Live Life Like You’re Dying
If tomorrow was your last day,
what would you say?
Tomorrow? Oh not now, I’m not ready to take a bow!
Would you pray to God, to have one more day,
Or would you just want it to end this way?
Let’s think a moment, before you take a bow,
Have you ever wanted to ride a cow?
Climb a mountain, or swim in a fountain?
Let’s make a list.
Just a quick one, before it starts to rain, so you can end the pain.
Think of all the things, you’ve ever wished for before your life turns to a whisper.
Go home to night, kiss your wife, tell her you will miss her.
Don’t leave to die, without a sign that everyone was important in your life.
On your grave, what will it say?
“Oh gee I had a nice day!”?
Or will it be gray?
Take a moment, make a list, don’t let your skin crisp.
And make sure that no one’s crying,
That’s how you live life like you’re dying.
